About Us

Blue Valley Lacrosse is the spring organization for boys and girls in the Blue Valley area, led by a full time director and certified coaches.  

Blue Valley Lacrosse are open to 1st - 8th boys and girls the in Southern Johnson County.

Blue Valley Lacrosse feed's the following high school programs:  Blue Valley Eastside, Blue Valley Southwest, Blue Valley West, St. Thomas Aquinas, Rockhurst High School and Blue Valley Titans.

BV competes in the LAKC and KCMGLA local leagues during the Spring season.  BV is also the only club along with Prairie Village that provides regional competition throughout the Spring season.

Blue Valley Lacrosse, is a non-for profit organization incorporated under the laws of the State of Kansas. 

 

The purpose of this corporation is:

  • To support the positive growth of the youth in the communities served by the organization

  • Develop the sport of lacrosse in the Midwest 

  • To create opportunities for youth to be introduced to, engaged in and excel at the sport of lacrosse

  • Enrich the lives of to those touched by the organization through its deeds and actions

As a non-for profit organization, Blue Valley Lacrosse operates under a set of bylaws and governed by a Parent Board and ran by an Administrator.

The Parent Board oversees the organization's efforts of encouraging positive change in the lives of youth lacrosse players and supporting the growth of the sport in Blue Valley. 

About Lacrosse

Lacrosse is the "fastest game on two feet" and also the fastest growing sport in the country. 

Equipment Needed:
Boys - Helmet, Shoulder Pads, Elbow Pads, Gloves, Mouth Guard, Cleats, Stick
Girls - Goggles, Stick, Mouth Guard (available at Bar Down Sports Co - 9601 W 87th St. Overland Park, KS. 66212)

Lacrosse is a combination of most sports, basketball, hockey, football, soccer, etc. which makes the sport so exciting and fun to play.  Playing lacrosse teaches many fundamentals including hand-eye-coordination, teamwork, and athletic ability.
