Girls Director
Cassandra Mays joined Blue Valley Lacrosse as Girls Director in 2022, overseeing the growth and development of girls lacrosse in the area. She brings a vast experience of playing and coaching. Cassi will be focused on the day to day operations of girls lacrosse as well as strategic growth planning.
Cassandra Mays
Cassi Mays is originally from a small town outside of Tampa, FL. She started playing lacrosse in 5th grade after playing with her cousins in Connecticut one summer and was fortunate to find a small league forming near her.
She easily fell in love with the sport and went on to play collegiate lacrosse at the University of Florida, Go Gators!
After graduation she started coaching her old team in Tampa. She met her husband shortly after and were married in 2015. They relocated to Houston where she was active in the growth of the sport and coaching a middle school team and working with youth and high school players for an elite travel team.
Cassi relocated to Kansas City in January 2020 with our two children Jonathan (4) and Eleanor (2.5) along with our three cats and plan to be here for the long haul.
She is now entering into her 9th year of coaching and look forward to helping grow the sport more and help others to enjoy it as much as I do!
